Our association was born from the love we have for Lake Atitlán

Who we are

We are a non profit association born in 1990 our of love for Lake Atitlan, because of it cultural, social, environmental importance. We work to educate, research and ensure its conservation alongside its local people, government authorities both local and national, community leadership and scientists.

Mission

As change agents geniunely interested in the development of Guatemala, we strive for conservation in the Lake Atitlan basin and the improvement in quality of life of all those who inhabit it. We promote and facilitate projects in environmental health, education and research through alliance with local, national and international actors.

Alliances

We are convinced that better results are achieved through collaborative and united efforts.  We seek out alliances with both private and public actors as well as synergistic investment across institutional boundaries.

We have established strategic alliances with governmental and non-governmental, Guatemalan and international institutions and organizations.
